Ensemble Trust
Dunbartonshire Wind Ensemble Trust was set up in 1980 to provide the facilities to allow schoolchildren living in Dunbartonshire and the Glasgow area to play in a community wind band outside school hours under the musical direction of professional musicians safeguarded by members of the Trust and parents.
Our youth wind band, Dunbartonshire Wind Ensemble, rehearses throughout the school year on Tuesday evenings 19.00hrs to 21.00hrs currently in the assembly hall of Douglas Academy music school Milngavie, Glasgow. New players are always welcome but must be able to read music to about Associated Board Grade Three Standard. Parents and other adults seeking wind band experience can also join the band.
Our adult big band, Monday Swing, rehearses throughout the school year on Monday evenings 19.30hrs to 22.00hrs in Kessington Hall, Milngavie Road, Bearsden,Glasgow. Reed and brass players are always welcome to join this, the fundraising arm of the Trust.
